Marketing Communication/Agronomist oriented on sustainability

 

The Marketing Agronomist reports to the Business Manager Fertilizers.

 

The Marketing Agronomist supports the sales and marketing fertilizer team with contributing to develop the sales of sustainable & low carbon fertilizers, contributes to develop communication and tools on new products, and in developing digital tools that will help our customers to reduce scope 3 emissions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the marketing (communication) plan for OCI’s fertilizer products, leveraging agronomic insights.
  • Translate technical product benefits into clear, customer-oriented communication for farmers, distributors, and stakeholders.
  • Contributes to the development of valuable partnerships within the value chain of OCI, ranging from the current customers to the food retail and consumer level to highlight the importance of sustainable fertilization
  • Provide technical training and support to sales teams and distribution partners.
  • Support product development and portfolio management through agronomic trials and farmer feedback.
  • Organize and participate in field trials, trade fairs, and marketing events.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product management, and sustainability teams to align technical and commercial initiatives.
  • Manages and controls the marketing communication budget.

 

 

Your Profile

You have attained a Bachelor+ level or Master in Agriculture or Agronomy, field of study Agri-Business, Marketing /Communication. You have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing & communication. An agronomy background and/or experience in the fertilizer market is a plus. You have a strong understanding of crop nutrition, fertilizer use, and sustainable farming practices and are able to translate these into value for our customers.

You speak and write fluently English, German is a pre and you have the ability to travel within the region.  

Besides that, a pro-active attitude and good communication skills are necessary competences.
