Account Manager
In this role you develop, maintain, and expand sales in the German and Benelux markets, with a focus on AdBlue, to secure sustainable sales volumes, drive profitable growth, and maximize margin performance. You are responsible for building and maintaining long-term customer relationships while ensuring full alignment with OCI’s commercial strategy and pricing discipline.
Your key responsibilities in this position:
- Market Development – Germany: Build and manage relationships with fuel distributors and wholesalers. Identify new business opportunities and strengthen OCI’s position in Germany. Monitor market developments (pricing, competition, volumes).
- Account Management: Manage key accounts, develop long-term partnerships, and ensure alignment between customer needs and OCI value proposition. Prepare and execute account plans. Handle after-sales and complaint coordination where needed.
- Pricing & Commercial Discipline: Ensure quotations reflect market conditions and safeguard account profitability.
- Market Intelligence: Track market trends, competitor activity, and key indicators (gas, ammonia, urea) to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Negotiation & Commercial Execution: Lead negotiations, maintain consistent contract terms, and focus on value and long-term relationships.
- Internal Coordination: Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain/Planning, Technical Service, and Finance to align on commitments and credit exposure.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to competition law and internal guidelines while escalating sensitive issues as needed.
- Sustainability: Support implementation of low-carbon and sustainable product initiatives.
- Performance & Planning: Contribute to Sales and Marketing plans, optimize margins, forecast volumes, and monitor sales and account performance.
Our Profile
We are looking for a motivated professional with at least Bsc level in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Economics, International Business or a related fields, 5-10 years’ experience in fuel/diesel distribution or chemical B2B sales. Strong exposure to distribution channels, commodity pricing and logistics is preferred.
You are fluent in German and English, strong commercial and negotiation skills with solid business acumen, good understanding of commodity pricing, supply chain and financial criteria, knowledge of relevant business processes and business steering models.
You work independently and collaboratively in a team, with excellent communication (verbal and written), relationship management, negotiating, advisory and analytical skills. Experience with SAP, BW and CRM systems, good knowledge of Power BI would be valuable.
