Within OCI Nitrogen, we are currently looking for a Plant HSE Officer.
What will you do as a Plant HSE Officer?
As an HSE Officer at OCI Nitrogen, you will be responsible for developing and advising on policies related to (process) safety, working conditions, and the environment. You play a key role in the development, implementation, and safeguarding of the HSE policy, as well as in the continuous improvement of the HSE culture.
In this independent role, you will actively raise awareness of safe working practices throughout the organization, both in terms of personal safety and process safety. You will conduct risk analyses, identify potential hazards, and develop procedures to minimize risks. In addition, you will help develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety and health guidelines.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related matters and ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
In this versatile day-shift position, you will be part of an HSEQ team that supports three plant units. You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager.
You recognize yourself in this

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as HVK, Environmental Science, Safety Science, or Chemical Technology

Preferably experience as an operator in a chemical plant

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the chemical industry

Thorough knowledge of relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation and regulations

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
